Student Medicover, as one of the leading insurance agencies for international students in the industry, has participated in 2 NAFSA Conferences & Expos this year, the annual conference from May 31st to June 3rd in Denver, Colorado and the regional conference from October 11th to 13th in Sacramento, California, which both brought together all the peers, industries and professionals from various international organizations or companies who thoroughly support educational initiatives in the global context.

NAFSA is the world’s biggest nonprofit organization committed to international education and exchange, serving the needs of over 10,000 members and international educators at over 3,500 institutions in over 150 countries.
The organization supports the ethics that international education promotes learning and scholarship, builds understanding and respect among people from many origins and viewpoints, and is critical for building internationally capable individuals.

2.Why do we attend the event?
After being suspected a couple of times due to the COVID-19 pandemic, NAFSA has managed to resume its annual conference and international education expo in person. We are pleased to join their event this year again to expand our networking with other outstanding international educators or companies along with more solid cooperation with some of our partners who also attended this NAFSA program.
Furthermore, as a worldwide organization with diverse personnel, we have shared a core purpose and approach with NAFSA for many years. On the one hand, the event will encourage companies with an international background, such as ours, to gain a better understanding of the global market in the United States, regardless of industry, and thus provide our international customers with more solid support for how we deliver our service quality and determination.
On the other hand, The organizing committee works deliberately to create a cooperation-friendly environment for all start-ups or medium-sized enterprises to seek potential interactions across all platforms through communication with other partners in similar industries. In this way, we have the opportunity to approach several major US universities and medical organizations to understand more comprehensively the medical and health needs of international students, which properly meet the value of our company.
Thus, It is our great honor and pleasure to participate in such a mutual environment to create more opportunities for development and connections.

The 2022 NAFSA Conference & Expo has welcomed countless attendees to be a part of the most diversified and comprehensive worldwide event. It is valuable for us to join the global international education community at NAFSA 2022 to explore the newest innovations, ideas, and practices in order to form institutional connections as all organizations collaborate to construct routes for a sustainable international education future, as Student Medicover shares the same value and motivation as the organizing committee of NAFSA.
In addition, we attended various seminar sessions designed by international education leaders and institutional policymakers, which focus on all the problems or situations that international students might encounter during their stay and study in the US, including health, visas, study, etc. Speakers from across the world bring all attendees together and form a network critical to everyone’s professional success. At those sessions, we were highly acknowledged by officers from universities. A member from UCSC International Office greeted us warmly by saying that lots of Chinese Students at UCSC have been using Student Medicover insurance for years, while another staff from the NAFSA committee welcomed us to join the NAFSA Regional XII in Hawaii next year with schools and organizations from California, Nevada, and Hawaii.

It has been a month since we returned from NAFSA, but all of the employees who represented Student Medicover at that event still mentioned how helpful and productive the event was, and as a student insurance firm.
We will continue to provide our international customers with not only high-quality services but also comprehensive care to all targeted students in the United States, including their mental health, study-life balance, and so on.
In other words, our team works relentlessly to guarantee that all of our clients are prepared for their studies and lifestyles in the United States, and we will also attend other events like as the NAFSA conference to ensure that all of our incentives meet the industry’s criteria and our customers’ expectation appropriately.
